CaptchaChaos ("we", "us", "our") is operated by an individual sole proprietor based in the United States. Questions about this policy can be directed to camsmithx99@yahoo.com.

We collect the following information when you use CaptchaChaos:

• Account information: Email address, password (hashed), and username when you register.
• Game data: Scores, streaks, round history, and gameplay statistics.
• Payment information: Billing is handled entirely by Stripe. We do not store your credit card number, expiry, or CVV. We retain only your Stripe customer ID and subscription status.
• Technical data: IP address, browser type, and basic usage logs collected automatically by our hosting and database providers.

• To create and manage your account.
• To process payments and manage your subscription.
• To display your username and scores on the public leaderboard (only if you have played a ranked game).
• To send transactional emails (e.g., password reset, receipt). We do not send marketing emails.
• To operate and improve the service.

We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information. We share data only with:

• Supabase — authentication, database, and real-time services (data stored in US regions).
• Stripe — payment processing. Subject to Stripe's own privacy policy.
• Vercel — website hosting and edge infrastructure.

We may disclose information if required by law or to protect the rights and safety of our users.

Your username and best score may be displayed publicly on the leaderboard. You can change your username from your profile page at any time. If you wish to remove your scores from the leaderboard, contact us at camsmithx99@yahoo.com.

We retain your account data for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, we will delete your personal information within 30 days, except where retention is required by law (e.g., financial records related to payments).

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to:

• Request access to the personal data we hold about you.
• Request correction or deletion of your data.
• Opt out of any data sale (we do not sell data).

We use session cookies required for authentication. We do not use advertising or tracking cookies. Third-party services (Stripe, Supabase) may set their own cookies subject to their respective policies.

CaptchaChaos is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child under 13 has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will delete it promptly.

We may update this policy from time to time. The "Last updated" date at the top of this page will reflect any changes. Continued use of the service after changes constitutes your acceptance of the updated policy.
